In our concept, users will not only have fun, but they will also learn. Upon completing the game, they will receive historical fragments about Lake Macquarie. Each fragment is a brief piece of history, and collecting multiple fragments under the same theme unlocks detailed and interesting historical knowledge about Lake Macquarie. Whether instilling a sense of cultural pride in local residents or educating visitors from other places about the history of Lake Macquarie, our interactive light installation is a treasure trove of knowledge.

Our interactive light installation helps residents and tourists create exercise memories through physical activity, and these memories will always accompany the participants.

Unlike typical interactive light installations in public places, our project incorporates gamification design from the outset, enhancing user engagement and interactivity. People experience joy and a sense of achievement when playing and completing the game, which attracts more users. Additionally, we implemented a reward system in the design. The reward system significantly boosts user participation. Knowing there are rewards, users are more inclined to participate actively. Rewards also provide positive feedback, generating joy and a sense of achievement for users. Ultimately, this can attract users to engage with the experience, collect different fragments repeatedly, and even revisit MAP Mima.

Our concept's sports theme is not just a random choice. It's a strategic decision that aligns perfectly with Lake Macquarie's city development strategy. Mayor Fraser's endorsement of our project in the '2020-2030 Sports Strategy' is a testament to this alignment. Creating more family and child-friendly outdoor activity spaces, a key part of Lake Macquarie's children and family strategy, is at the heart of our project.
