"Traces of Time" is an interactive digital art inspired by the storytelling

potential of fossils in Lake Macquarie. The exhibit utilizes colored pixel blocks to

display the geological history of Swansea Head, with each color representing a different geological element. An immersive experience is created as the blocks dynamically approach the viewer, simulating a journey deep into the Earth's strata. Audiences interact by adjusting the distance from the screen and moving around the venue to trigger dynamic displays. "Traces of Time" aims to enable viewers to understand the local ancient landscapes and geological processes through fossils, weaving fossil stories through visual communication and immersive experiences, promote the cultural preservation of the Lake Macquarie area and enrich the cultural heritage of the community.
